April 12 2021 - Virtual Discussion
There has definitely been some time between when we last did virtual training, which feels both so far away, and also like no time has passed at all.
For everyone who attended the CAP training hosted by RCSU(NW), the staff is very interested in hearing how it went. After tonight's discussion, we hope a few of you can hang around after tonight, so we can hear how it went both for the new recruits who are experiencing cadet activities for the first few times, to cadets who have been around for years... This was the first time they offered programs like this, and it will be interesting to hear what the experience was for everyone who attended.
For our training tonight, we're going to have another group discussion. This time on a topic that is very relevant to everyone with no research required ahead of time. A topic that I'm sure most of you (and your parent's) have strong feelings about. So strong, that I'm not going to mention it ahead of time. You need to tune in to find out :)
That being said, now that we're a little more familiar with the format these group discussions are taking, we are seeking to ask for a few volunteers to help facilitate the discussions. If you're interested in helping to guide tonight's conversation by:
Keeping track of who wants to speak via voice
Helping to ensure the comments stay Cadet friendly and focused
Helping to provide counter arguments to facilitate further understanding.
Please let us know, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org We are not sure how many people we'll need to help with this, and the more the merrier (And I'll also let you know what the secret topic is, that way you can prepare your thoughts :)) We are still hoping for the same respectful, and passionate discussions as we've had in the past.
Tonight's discussion will be on the following Google Classroom link at 18h30:
